I just completed a Vortec Conversion and my label for the Toy temp. sending unit wire in the engine bay has fallen off:doh:. Does anyone off hand, know which side of the bay the wire came from and what color it is. I'm trying to locate the exact one so I can hook my Fj62 gauge back up.
Any help would be most appreciated!

On the 60 series, it's a green wire.

Should go from the instrument panel in the dash and out of the driver side large rubber grommet.

Maybe someone who knows 62's can chime in here.

Thanks for the reply back. I'll check it tomorrow to see if it's the same on a 62. How far are you on your swap?

I've removed the entire dash to replace the heater core. So, I got into replacing all the foam seals inside the HVAC system. Once it's back together, the HVAC on this truck should be very efficient. New firewall heat insulation and dynamat sound insulation is going in this week as well.

I'm also cleaning up the electrical wiring on the truck and adding an alarm system with starter kill, remote control of various features, accessories, etc...

Needless to say, I've gotten carried away.

Daang! Going Big.... I'm just happy to be up and running. She does pull with the 5.3 Vortec in it. My 62 hasn't been running for a few years since I started a family but she's back. I'm just worried about codes and getting the gauges working.

It is a green wire and should come from the passanger side.
