My 88 FJ62 is seeping oil where my front driveshaft connects to my front differential. I think a seal failed at the back of the U-Bolt Yoke, but I'm not sure. Any advice is good...Thanks

KLF said:If the oil is coming out between the end of the driveshaft and the flange, then it is not the pinion seal. Gear oil is travelling up the pinion splines and around the big washer and stake nut. More common than you'd think.
Either way, if you end up removing the pinion nut, be sure to squeeze some RTV down into the splines and smear the back side of the big washer. This will ensure that it won't leak thru here.
