I bought an 88 Fj62 a couple of years ago with seized engine (head gasket blew) and bought a couple of used 3FE engines to rebuild. Well, long story short, I had finished rebuilding and installing one good engine this spring and backed it out of the garage so that I could run it without getting CO poisoning. The following week, I flew to the UK and Scotland for a week. I didn't put antifreeze in the cooling system, only water. Well, thanks to crazy North Texas weather and not thinking it'd get below freezing again (much less the 7* that it got!).... I left it outside and needless to say, I fkd myself over with overlooking the weather at home while I was packing for rain and snow it the Scottish highlands.... Came home from a wonderful holiday to find a freeze plug and water under the truck.
I guess there is a silver lining.... my in laws are giving me an uncle's truck with a Vortec 350 engine. A conversion I had been planning to do in a few years anyway. I'll be picking up the Chevy donor truck over Thanksgiving to begin working on the conversion. I'd like to start getting the un-needed Toyota parts out of the garage.
I've got ALMOST all of the parts from THREE! 3FE engines. If you need anything or all of it, let me know. Will post some photos tonight. Reasonable offers accepted, but I won't entertain lowballers.

1- Complete engine. This is the frozen one, still in truck, not certain where but water is getting into the crank case. It starts and runs but has a high idle that I haven't bothered to diagnose. All components were cleaned and painted before re-assembly. $400 for everything.
1- 3FE block. Good block, needs new cam gear. No head. $100- Or, free if you buy the complete engine.
1- Mean Green High Output Alternator $300 (includes proper wiring harness)
2- Wiring harness $50 each
EFI parts- Make offer with what you need.
EGR parts- Make offer with what you need.
$1000 to clear out my garage of Toyota parts. Can help deliver in DFW.
The project has been stagnant for some time, but here some some pics of things during the course of the project.
The H42 won't be going with the engine, but the bellhousing and brand new clutch components can be had for $200.
