FJ62 Oil Cooler / Coolant hose question

Just to tie this thread off, 15777 was definitely the right hose part. I just had to cut it down to size. It was a PITA to access and messy with coolant flowing out of the block even though I had already drained the radiator. The old hose was badly blistered, gummy, and clearly about to burst. Lastly, I just soaked the original hose clamps in some zep degreaser and scrubbed with a toothbrusher and they were as good as new. I'll work on changing out some of these other hoses over time.

Regarding degreaser-just spent the winter fixing a long overdue timing plate oil leak and had to do some serious degreasing before getting started. Don’t have access to pressure washer or decent car (very small town in the mountains in Idaho). A friend recommended Purple Power Cleaner Concentrate from Walmart. They sell it in gallon jugs. It worked much better than the Zep cleaner. Give it a try

+1 for Gates. Especially for that hose, nothing special needed.

The PITA hose is the rad to pump one on the pump side... it's buried beneath the AC compressor and PS pump. I believe it's 16572 in the graphic above. Don't forget about that one and best of luck. Here's a pic with the accessories removed:

Another relatively old post is it necessary to have to remove the AC compressor if attempting to replace both lower hoses ? Thanks.

I think I replied to you on in IG but, yes, that’s what I did. Would be challenging to access it otherwise.

Also I found an old pic of the gates hoses I used on the 62

thank you. Yup that was me lol. You were right, and previous owner also ended up positioning the clamp where the screw wasn't accessible anyway. No choice, not sure why I thought I could just access from underneath and be done.
