Looking for a new muffler and back exhaust setup for the FJ62 and see that the Walker ones on Amazon are no longer available... Is there a decent go to that is not $$$$? The OEM is not bad at $250ish but shipping is over $150 even at the dealerships..
Anyone?

I was able to buy a direct fit muffler and tail pipe from NAPA. I was in to it less than 150 bucks. It fit perfectly for me. I took the time and had it coated to make it hopefully last a lot longer.

I have a new never installed FJ62/60 walker rear tail pipe. Pay me 20 bucks plus shipping and it’s yours.

Part number 46678

Check RockAuto for the walker kit... I believe they used to be a seller

Damn, just ordered the tailpipe from autoplicity, $33 shipped and found a generic replacement for the defunct walker model (I called, they are out of production)

Muffler tailpipe assembly is still available new from Toyota. FUTABA manufactures it for them.

17405-61240

MSRP on it is $359.93

It's a long sucker.

I finally went to buy the Walker kit and the muffler isn't available. I'm contemplating going custom from the y-pipe back (rest is still good) with a stainless steel Walker Quiet Flow.

Anyone know which model might work best? One suggestion I found was Walker 21423.

Yup!
That’s what I paid when in got mine for my FJ62!

If you end up needing a Y-pipe, I've got one. I got it when I thought I needed it.

Any word on the universal mufflers? Mine is completely gone and very loud. It's sad cause it's from rockauto maybe 4 years old now. Beyond trying to fix this

All the parts I order online I pick up at the dealership free of shipping charges. Search your local Toyota dealership followed by “parts cart” and shop from there. Should be roughly 30% off and free shipping to your dealer. Just checked and Toyota cool springs price was $240 for muffler/tailpipe assembly.

My local dealers only list it at full price. What’s the trick?

Weird, most Toyota dealers give big discount ordering online. Who’s your local dealer?

Koons, Jeff Taylor, Jim Coleman, Bill Page. Haven’t had any luck in the immediate dc/ca/md area.

Going through parts.toyota.com the closest dealer you can order it through for a good discount is in Richmond. Not all dealerships participate in the website.

Oh well

Following up on this. I ordered the Walker 21423 and it was too big imho so I sent it back. Eventually I got around to going through their entire Quiet Flow SS offerings and ordered a 21242 since it was the closest to the factory muffler dimensions.

I’m usually an OEM guy but decided to go for stainless since I could do it for less when factoring in the y-pipe replacement. Cats are universals that fit the 62 and ahead of that is stock.

This is the next project on my list... I tried to go OEM but the Y-pipe portion is discontinued and I need that too - basically I need Y-pipe back just like you mentioned. Are you still happy with the set up you got from Walker?
