Hi everyone,

Fj62, has a really good crank and sounds good. Battery testing 14v. Lights on dashboard and headlights are good to. What can it be? Is it really an engine flood?

Thank you,

Why do you think the engine is flooding? Have you verified that you have spark?

No I do not. Also no other smells.
Usually there is an odor but not always. Don’t discount it but just be cautious as you check other possibilities. Check oil level, the check again after a while and see if it’s higher. If not, may not be flooded. Ask yourself Where would the gas go if it’s flooded. I’ll check with my sources for possible issues.

EFI flooding? Is your throttle cable engaged?

Make sure you have spark first. Then make sure you actually have fuel. You can carefully loosen a fuel line at the engine and see if you fuel comes out. Wear safety goggles if you do this because gasoline spray in your eye is pretty miserable.

once you verify spark and fuel then let us know. Also was the truck running fine andnow all of a sudden it doesn’t start? Basically what is the history.
