when you get it to what you think is clean....clean it again. speaking from experience re-caulking windows n doors at my jobI think it’s the one, definitely going to check around though. Now I need to read up on removing seam sealer.

We figured out that at some point in this FJ62’s life, it had suffered an impact there and been poorly repaired by a body shop. The wheel arch sheet metal is also not a great fit anymore likely from the same incident.Got dang...you get mad at that side panel?
They were not budging and I didn’t want to strip the heads, so they’re soaking overnight.Those screws just screw into sheet metal. No nuts behind them.

I’ll check those threadsThe hood hinge drains into the cowl area, which drains out the drain spout thing. Interior leak can't be coming from there.
I gave you a pic of my truck with all those cowl area seams sealed. Plenty more in my build thread.
This is a great reference, I'll copy it and see if that helps. I think sealing the seam on the hose bracket will make a difference.View attachment 2557598
This is how I did mine.
