Fj62 Alternator Mount

Hello all, I had a mechanic attempt to replace the alternator in my 1989 FJ62. During the install, one of the bolts snapped off clean. He attempted to drill out the bolt, and the drill bit snapped off inside the hole. After trying to drill out the bit with a stronger bit, he’s given up and is suggesting replacing the mount itself.

I’m trying to figure out what part the bolt is broken off inside. Any help is great appreciated.

Used parts are out there. Post a wanted ad here Classifieds - Engine/Transmission/Transfer Case - https://forum.ih8mud.com/forums/classifieds-engine-transmission-transfer-case.365/ for the 3FE alternator bracket.

Be sure to get the correct bolt as well. Could be why there’s an issue.
