I'm not entirely shure what happened. We've had the cruiser since my grandfather bought it new in '69. Used it on our upstate NY property as the utility vechile, stump pulling, plowing, and dragging our canoes around. I inherited it in 78 and did some really stupid "kid" things to it. Chucked the original wheels, used the early style hub caps as ash trays, put in a crappy roll bar and never did any pm to it except change the oil. THen stored it for 20 years in uncles barn. WHat an ass. Only 28k miles on it but they were hard miles. Great shape but I'm learning that restoring to original condition is an expensive endevor! I think I'll be glad when its over (or does it ever get over?)
