I'm not entirely shure what happened. We've had the cruiser since my grandfather bought it new in '69. Used it on our upstate NY property as the utility vechile, stump pulling, plowing, and dragging our canoes around. I inherited it in 78 and did some really stupid "kid" things to it. Chucked the original wheels, used the early style hub caps as ash trays, put in a crappy roll bar and never did any pm to it except change the oil. THen stored it for 20 years in uncles barn. WHat an ass. Only 28k miles on it but they were hard miles. Great shape but I'm learning that restoring to original condition is an expensive endevor! I think I'll be glad when its over (or does it ever get over?)

That was my original plan but the 5 bills for trailer tires coming home form the Ramble really cut into that. I can afford used now...new is just out of my price leauge right now ($160 is a nice price). If I can get some more junk sold out of the garage I might swing it

Sorry - I've only got OEM springs sitting in the garage. I put on CCOT's first generation of Lift/level springs and extended shackles to get my mild lift. I'll wear those out, then think about the next steps...

Good luck gettin them. I put an order in with Walmart in March with no luck. I was told they are on national backorder. Been replacing the order every month since then.

Hope you have better luck.

Toyo - national backorder...factory said production to begin 6/05

The national backorder is a lie. Flat out!

The computer system at Wal-Mart cancels the order the second it is placed. The reason as best as I can tell it that the MTRs are not nomal stock at Wal-Mart so the order becomes a special order. That means the manager has to call them and arrange for the tires to be shipped to the location otherwise the order is dead and the warehouse never knows. If the tire really is backordered at that point, the manager has to call every day to confirm the backorder.

Go to Discount Tire if you have one, they have plenty. If you are in Denver, I can give you the name of the manager at discount that is well aware of this problem. He will pricematch.

Treeroot you me all excited....Yep 15" are available per Goodyear. I need to read the complete thread. I run 17" and they are still BO per Goodyear as of 5 minutes ago.
