Sorry I didn't realize you were in DC-Washington, too me two seconds to figure out you were EMil :) - I thought Washington state as well. It would take some effort and would be a lot to rely on, being out here but it is doable. I would ship the whole combo, I bet John (the seller) would take the whole shebang to forward air for you and ship it, you can probably get it there for less than $300 with them? Seller is a nice guy - I think it's a good route to go... Coming out and swap could probably be done in a week. I am way up in Utah so I am at least 6 hours away from Proffitt and comparable to Carbondale, CO where the seller is located. I do have a small little shop where I work on my own junk but am usually pretty busy so I am not sure I could help out...
 
I don't have the space or tools for an engine swap. You best bet is shipping that stuff back east or finind someone to do the swap. Grease cruiser, proffits, sanjuan might be your best bet. If you have a good running 2F why not concentrate on the body?
 
I'm concentrating on the body AS WELL as the motor. I am anti-gasoline, I just built my biodiesel processor and want to go that route. I'll drive it as long as I can like this, but if I can find a motor and at least get it to my house....
 
Water, I would consider the 13B-T for the following reason: the 3B is a good engine I like them alot, that's what I've been driving for the past 15 years but if you don't turbocharge it you will likely be a little disappointed in the performance. After I turbo'd my '82 I vowed I will NEVER drive a non-turbo'd diesel again. The 13B-T is not only the turbo'd version of the 3B but it's also a direct injected version which in my opinion is more desireable. I have had a failure of the 3B pre-combustion chamber (that's instant stop until repaired with little warning) and of the 3-4 3B's that I've pulled apart and worked on I've NEVER had one that hasn't had a cracked head.

Would I still get a 3B? Of course!! Would I consider/prefer a 13B-T over a 3B? Absolutely!!

speaker install!!

I'd like some factory front speaker covers (the brown square things that cover the speaker in the front door)
I need them for my rear door speaker install to make it look OE.

Any body got some they wanna give or sell?

I guess they are for 1985-90 fj60/62.

Doors and quarterpanel needed

Hello,

I need to get both a right and left door plus a lower left quarterpanel for my FJ40 with a production date of 09/76. They were damaged in a roll-over :frown: . If you have one or all of these PM me and we can talk price.

Where are you located? There are close to 4 60's in my local junkyard, all but one still has the knuckles out left on them. BTW, I'm in Denver CO.

I've got a clean one off of an 86, but I would want $220 plus the ride. Complete. Champagne color if that matters. PM to follow up.

this is what i have

i've got the extendable arms on my 40,but i use the factory brkt on the doors,
i think these are the factory arms.
and the mounts came with the ext. arms
i could fab up some brkts like stock ones if you want
