'60 series fuel tank

Need a '60 series fuel tank, preferrably one that has already been replaced under the recall program. A tank from any '60 series up till Oct. 85 production vehicle will do.

What year Cruiser is your 60 again Charles? An HJ61 tank was just put in my 1983BJ60 (changed the fuel supply line/cap from the tank to single, from the double lined HJ61). Fit no issues at all.

Any tank number difference subs up from 1980 to 1990 for the BJ/HJ/FJ tanks. Strange the gassers had a recall, but diesels did not.

We have two BJ60 tanks, both have surface rust, however the screws holding the sending unit and fuel supply tube in place are always a bugger to get out. One or more are broken off (back shelf project when I've got time to try and salvage them).

I have a post recall tank. I'll have to look at it. It's in an 83. Need any other parts?

Greg,
My '60 is a May '82 production. When you talk about the fuel supply line I assune you're talking about the supply tube to the engine. Mine has a single tube there plus about 3-4 small tubes around the filler.

tnt40,
I just need the tank. I looked at my tank after the shop cleaned it up and there are lots of pin holes where the straps run under the tank. One guy gave me a quote of about Q1500 ($200) to repair but he hasn't seen the tank. A local at the school is looking for a used one here in Guatemala. I'm told about Q800 ($100) if they can find one. Trouble is, I can't go looking for a used one because I'll get the special "Gringo" price of Q1600 :)

Yes, the fuel supply to that screws into the top of the fuel tank. HJ/FJ have two lines coming out (one to supply and one return) the BJ has just the one. The other tubes on ths side (that are part of the tank...not screwed on) are a combination of filler/overflow and vapour handling.

Foreign FJ60 Trim Panel

I have an OEM clock to instal on my US 60, but the trim panel doesn't accommodate the clock like the one I had in South America. I need the trim panel from an overseas 60, which, I think, will have the internal bracket to allow for mounting the clock.

Selling for a friend of mine, $1200cad. I rebuilt it and converted it to 24v Using brand new Prestolite 24v motor and Cole Hersee Cont duty solenoids. My friend sold the 42 before he put it back on the truck.

Pig window motor part -

Just thought I'd see if anyone had one of these lying around - it's the spacer that goes between the window motor and gear assembly for the rear window.

This picture from SOR might help explain - it's the spacer to the right of #19...

...and here between #18 & #19...

My pops 55 had the same problem, and we couldnt find the part either, that was around 2 yrs ago before i ever knew about this forum. I ghetto rigged it for him and 2 years later it is still working.
Here is what i did: I cleaned it really good with a little water and alcohol, glued the cracks together with some good quality super glue, and then glued the bottom on as well, immediately after, i wrapped it in electrical tape nice and tight (do it in the house where its warm because you want the tape to stretch a little) and super glued the tape end as well so it dont unravel and you dont want to wrap it multiple times only around it like 1.5 times. If you do find a source for these post up, because this was meant to be temp fix but it has lasted quite awhile.

you can get the altimiter/clock combo that will fit in the 60. might be easier than finding the trim panel.

Spector has em for $120-ish

David,
I have a front passenger fender, no rust. Only problem is that I'd have to ship from 26501. Could check the cost if you are interested. Let me know.
Todd

I have front door panels too, brown in color.
