It's for a 64 FJ45LV. Here's what I know. Mike calls me up and says that he needs a nut for his crank pully. I oblige and aske here. Treerootco steps up and sends me one for nothing (thanks Root). Mike takes it home and then calls to say that I doesn't fit. The nut is a stepdown shank type nut and the pully isn't. Also with the pully in place there's barely 2 or 3 threads showing. I'm assuming that the pully is wrong but I'm unsure. I have a nut and pully on my 67lv but the nut is round and w/o a working e-brake the motor just turns when I get after it.

If the engine is the original early F engine, then it won't have a nut holding the pully on the crankshaft. These early pullys are pressed on. Since the crankshaft isn't threaded, putting on a later model pully still won't allow use of a nut.

I can get them new... used are getting hard to find...

I use them all the time on mini-knuckle swaps... Using them retains the OEM 40 TRE's, no machining bushings, etc...

Hope that helps...

Okay boys.... Just been through this!!!

He needs to get a big 'ol nut socket and put it in the center of the pulley/balancer and tap away with a hammer until it "seats" and/or the pulleys line up. BTDT. He should remove the radiator and lay down the front bib for best access. I know. Once the balancer is seated there will be plenty of threads for 'Root's big 'ol nut to thread onto. There again, I know -- thanks 'Root!!!!!

Be patient. Don't mess up and have to call 'Root again...

Jody.

Not trying to make any enemies, just stating my opinion.

Hey STUMPED, empty your PM box.

But with the pully off, the nut Root sent doesn't fit into the pully hole. Threads are present just not many showing. Was there a non-steped nut option? IE: a flat nut?

OEM Softop doors

I know someone has some of these... Please email if you have a set you are thinking of selling at a reasonable price...

Heat shield brackets for OEM P/S gear box

Installed OEM P/S and have OEM heat shield...need the brackets to attach the shield to the pump...only three nuts tacked on to the shield. Brackets off the orginal manual steering gear box which held the rotted out heat shield don't even come close to the pattern on this new heat shield. Anyone?

Thanks!

Dave

I need fj60 parts

I have 1984 fj60 with brown interior and am looking for a few parts.....All must be in great shape since I am trying to bring this 60 back to its original condition. If you have any of the following parts you can contact me at (970) 234-0611

Front seats and rear seat
Center console
Carpet
Chrome rims

Obviously most of these parts are going to be a good chunk of change to ship, so if you live farily close to Grand Junction Colorado, I would be willing to drive to your cruiser and pull the parts.

Thanks
Cameron
