I dropped my tank tonight in preparation for cleaning/rust bulleting the floor and I also need to install a fuel pump in the tank for my TBI swap.

Problem is, there is no way the pump is fitting through either the stock pickup tube or sending unit hole. Can someone shoot me a pic of the top of an FJ62 tank? (They have pumps in the tank right?) I want to see if they are using the flange to the side of the sending unit hole. If so, it's cutting time....

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I am thinking of cutting a hole in the top tank to install a stock/modified GM sender. There is a depression in the top of the tank next to where the float/sending unit installs. I am just trying to find out if this is the same location that the FJ62 uses. And if so, how they route there fuel lines.

Contact D'animal..........................I think he's parting a 62

I just happen to have my MAF FJ62 tank out which is going my FJ60 for a Vortec conversion. Although not identical to the 62 tank, it has the same elements. This sending unit is a semi-generic one I bought. No need to but a larger hole, and Cruiser Dan can sell you the fixture (or it might come with a tank out of a 62) that holds the fuel pump and has the supply and return.
