I just have an oil pressure gauge on my 60 but imagine 3 in a row under the dash

I feel this is the neatest, less intrusive place for gauges. Unless you want to poke holes in the top of your dash.

Yeah Droopy- that is more than likely where they will end up

With the under dash mounts make sure that where they are placed will not interfere with the shift levers. A situation like this would be more likely if you're mounting a series of gauges along the underside of the dash.

I dont like the A Pillar- reminds me too much of a sport compact setup- does not really fit what a 60 stands for.....

I just put a dual pod setup in my 60. Turned out really nice if I do say so myself!

I'll get some pics..

Reasonably clean instal.

BTW, this is a $24.00 autometer dual gage pod that I picked up at the local Pep Boys..

Jason,

I have some gray paint that I used to paint the pod in my Dodge... Its yours if you want to ditch the black.

Sweet, I'll take you up on that..

I have three mounted below. Honestly, I'm not a big fan... they work and are perfectly fine in this position, but if I had to do it over I would go the A-pillar route. Mainly because from my seating position the gauges are blocked by the steering wheel. This means I have to lean over to look at them. Not the safest thing IMO.

I hear what your saying about the location- I have a 14" Lecarra wheel that may help a little with being able to view the gauges.

honestly any 2 pod universal unit should work with a bit of mods..

The wife might have to give up her hair dryer for a sec tho ;)

hey mace,

what one did you get from pet boys. part number or something i can take into the store and show them youngsters what i am talking about, dont want to hear "the what year is it going in, what engine, got ac "and all the other dumb ass questions the stinking computer needs.

cheers
chappy

I think it was from a mustang.

I had to mod it a bit by trimming and heating with a heat gun. BUt it was certainly cheap enough to work well. I'll see if I can find a p# or something

Does anyone know if the DIN mount works in the stock 60 radio "hole"..?

May not. The factory opening is a little wider than the DIN by about 1/2" But you could build your own solution with a piece of rigid plastic 1/8" thickness and make your own custom 2 or 3 gauge faceplate. Prolly cost about the same or less than a DIN plate.
