Hidy y'all anyone buy chance have any used drag link ends I could use buy or barrow mine seems to be on its last link and the new TRE kits thru Kurt at cruiser outfitters seem to be backordered for the next several weeks. And Murf is working with me but the brand 555 kits are better then the OEM so if any one has any they can part with that would be great

Damn I think it's completely a diffrent size how ever I'll poke around and find out. Thx phill

All the ends in a FJ40 kit are in fact different than those offered in the FJ60 kit. Hope that helps.

I have a couple of tie rod/arm sets from doing high steer on mini trucks and the one at the box from a FJ60. What is wrong with yours? The one at the box is adjustable/rebuild-able, can't be adjusted tighter until replacements are available?

Hey Kevin been trying to track down a death wobble lately first it was the SS bracket which had busted and according to murf and the boys at CBT the drag link ends are warn out. So trying see what can do until the new 555 are in stock

First; make sure that you don't have a lateral balance or out of round problem with a tire. This is the #1 root cause of death wobble.

Second; what is your caster set at? Excessive caster (ether way) tends to make the rig more prone to the shakes.

Which end is bad? Is the one at the knuckle the same as the mini truck? The one at the steering box is adjustable/rebuild-able, so should be able to tighten/shim it? The ends can be pretty loose and not cause a death wobble. In most cases, loose suspension parts are caused by the pounding of the death wobble, often not the cause of it.

What speed does it happen at?

Happens mostly around 30-40mph. Almost entirely when turning wheel to the right like a curve or whindy road. Not sure what my caster is at and as far as I know tired are still in the round. However I haven't taken them in nor have I noticed any excessive ware

I think it's the one closer to the passenger side knuckle the one off the pitman arm seems ok

Ok the verdict is in

OK, heres what we found. Even after road forcing the left front tire, it still isnt the most round tire possible at 42 lbs of road force. It doesnt mean it isnt ok to use, it just poses some possible balancing issues. That tire is now on the back axle and wont influence your steering.

Now the next question is to see how the truck does and if you get wobble anymore.

Let me know~

I don't have that much experience with road force and mine is with bigger/heavier tires. But, that is a bigger number than any of my abused tires have had. Seems like a huge number for that size tire? Maybe just square, but I would keep an eye on it for bulges or any signs of coming apart?

Still a wobble however not as frequent but still obvious

Even though less frequent, is the wobble still as harsh when it does happen?
