Cummins going in.

6BT and NV4500 are in. SOA is done and the plan is to fire it up this week. The original turbo was sucking oil so it will be upgraded with a Gillette Diesel Service to reduce lag. Really looking forward to driving it. Haven't figured out how to post pics from my computer so will try to post them from the iPhone. For some reason it seems to work but my computer won't.

What intercooler is that up front? Looks like it fits pretty damn well. I've been searching for one for a long time.

They ended up using the factory Dodge intercooler. Planning to start it tomorrow.

The donor truck was a 1991 3/4 ton 4WD with the 5 speed manual. I'm assuming they used my old intercooler but would have to check to be sure. There is a salvage yard close to me that does a lot with the Cummins trucks that I could check with if you need parts. I got 2 NV4500 trannys from them for a very reasonable price. One is in my Cruiser and Classic Cruisers wanted the other one.

Please check to see which intercooler he used, and get more pictures as well!! Looks like it just barely fits, which is perfect.

My truck as in a 1991 3/4 ton 4wd Dodge Ram?

Sweet. Thank you.

I'm waiting on more pictures. My Cruiser is about 900 miles away. I should be able to get it late this month and report on the conversion. To say I'm anxious would be an understatement.

Yes. My donor truck was a 1991 3/4 4wd Dodge Ram with the Getrag 5 speed transmission. Standard cab and as base as you could find. The only option it had is AC as far as I know.

FJ with the 6BT was started yesterday. I have a video but can't figure out how to post it. Error message says it is the wrong format.

It should be on the road Monday and I'll pick it up in a couple weeks.
