FJ60 crew cab truck conversion

I own two FJ60's and decided to chop the more rusty one up into a truck. Plans are to keep all 4 doors and add a 5-6' bed. I've always liked the rear power window on the Tundra's so I'll be using one for this project. My original plans for a frame was to use one from a Tacoma extra cab until I came across a Ram 2500 with 5.9 Cummins.

French in those rear wheel well cut outs and bring the rear bulkhead all the way down. 5’ trayback and appropriate wheelbase length will be a functional rig, with a decent profile. Toyota screwed us for trucks in the states

For anyone that doesn't have a lift to pull the frame, here's how I dropped the frame. Already had a cart built for the body and simply just rolled the cart under the body once I dropped the frame.

What’s the tundra cab for? I thought you were chopping the 60?

I think to make it look proportional you need to take a donor body from the back of the front door back for a box. Weld the rear door shell closed in to make it look like the entire box side. Then mount the new box side in place of the dodge box side on a frame behind a cut off 60 four-door. Sitting that new 4 door long box FJ 60 pickup on a dodge cummins chassis...BAM!!!

I’m drooling just thinking of it.

The tundra is a donor for the rear cab section. after taking some measurements i'll also be using the floor and roof from the tundra.

I mean I don't even know where to start. I have never in my life seen trucks all cut up in pieces like this on purpose. Can you imagine if this guy and cruisermatt were neighbors?
I can't wait to see how this thing comes out. I would love to have a crew cab cruiser.

Man that is awesome. You nailed an idea I have had for a dream truck. Crew cab 60 with a full 6'ish box and Cummins power.
Your approach is great, no fussing around just get the saw out and carve. Nothing will compare to mating up those pieces and just standing back and letting your eyes decide if it is right.
