Alright guys I checked out that 55 today. Didnt take any pics so I will post up a couple Matt sent me. Its not to bad the interior looks damn good normal rust on the outside. Has some kind of bucket seats mounted onto the mount for the bench up front which I will definitely take should be a lot more comfy. Also has some good stuff original cabr original rims tranny tcase should be worth what I'm gonna pay for it.

One more you can see that tranny probably needs a new output shaft but otherwise would still be good. The front fenders are cut partway off as you can also see but thats ok if someone wants to chop it up and make a sweet trail rig, or maybe a club rig.

Richard,

You should keep the cow stickers on the doors and then throw up a strip across the windshield that says "where's the beef".

Its actually not a sticker its painted on I think. Which is weird because my pig also had a logo on the door some kind of big fish.

how many xfercases do you need j.p.? ha ha

looks good rudi, let us know how it goes.....

s*** I hope you are gettin that thing for free or next to nothin.

whatever chuck...he could pay 2 grand and still be sittin pretty after the dollar pig.....

Well its not free I would say there is about 500 worth of parts in it and I am going to get it for about 1/2 plus the cost to get it to clemson. Might be able to get more in parts if I can sell the block. He has the block with pistons and cam sitting in his building no rust not siezed or anything just dusty. Think dearborn or someone would buy that? As for sitting pretty I wish I have spent more on my pig then its worth but I dont really care its about working on it and hanging out with other cruiser guys and stuff that makes it all worth it in the end. The T-case looked good under there Virgo your welcome to it for a small fee or maybe for driving your dads truck to help me get it.

yeah, I'll provide the tow and we can worksomething out.............. and malph as you know you can never have too many t-cases...........plus I want the 3-spd for the lower low range ratio

Virgo are you going to get the gear kit to swap into that old case like you had talked about before?

well I was a little confused about that when I was talking to you.............they don't offer it for the fj40, however Spector Offroad has a set of 3.?? to 1 for splitcases (fj60 t-cases) that's why I wanted in on that 60. For now I am thinking I will take a 3spd t-case and a non-usa 4spd(lower first gear) and just go with that, until I get rich............

So you going to get that pig?

I'm definitely going to get it just a matter of a couple weeks so I get some money. What do you think about that block think Dearborn would be interested?

Its a 74 I think I didnt look at the vin but I think thats what Matt told me. That sucks I was hoping the block and pistons might be worth a little something oh well. I'll take that deal for the tcase.

Well Im not sure maybe it was 72 or 73 I know its right around the same yr as mine.

mother of pearl.........they went to at 4spd, in 74.............

this is true, but it does have a stronger case, and dependin on the month of manufacture, it might still have the 3spd guts......
