FJ55 Truck

Well I am still thinking about buying that 1977 cancered out FJ55. The guy wants 1500 for it. I am going to try and haggle with him. But what I would like to do is cut off the rear of the tub from the B-pillar and weld in a cab to make it into a truck and then make a flat bed for the rear... So whatcha guys think? Anyone good at photo chop shop? I havent figured out how to do it on the mac yet... and I got rid of my ibm after we bought the second mac.

yeah ive seen all three of those... the last one is from a company out of australia that I talked to about the conversion. they actually asked me if i wanted to buy the one in that very photo... not bad looking 6x6... the middle one is ugly... and im not much for the green one... there is another thread were i asked the same Q... that dudes 55 is more of what i am looking for.

I have a 73' 55 that looks alot like the green one. The only difference is the guy who started the conversion used the actual back of the top. He just took out the middle section and moved it up. I will post some pictures online as soon as I get back to Tucson. If anyone is interested I have it up for sale. It really wouldn't take much to get it running again, I only took a few parts off of it for my FJ40. I only bought it for parts and I will sell it for the same purpose. Keep an eye out for pictures they should be posted in about 2 weeks!!!

When I first posted asking about a 55 truck back in like july I got about 6 or 7 different vehicles pics posted up. I doubt any of them are still up in that thread but there was a black one that was pretty nice.

I found some more from the net. I have no idea whose it is. It looks like a nice truck, but I want to keep the wheelbase (make it longer?) and finish the cab. Otherwise, it's about the right length:

That one nice looking 55 with the flat bed is a photoshop? Wow!... looks good. I want to do something just like that one. Minus the way the rear of teh Cab is set up... altought it would be cool to have the roll down window in the rear but it would need to be set up to look better.
