I was searching the Greenbay or Eau Claire Craigslist sites the other day, and I happened uopn an ad for an fj55. No pics, so I emailed to see if it was still available. It is, but I can't seem to find the craigslist add anymore (out of date?) The woman who emailed back sent these two pics...

and a subsequent email contained this message...

"Hi! yes, it's still for sale. We're about 15 miles south of florence Wi on a lake. Was supposed to be a restoration project for husband but he's disabled now and can't do it. If U want to talk more about it, his nursing home room phone # is (number deleted)."

Her name is Sally Treviranus, and I'm not sure of his. I sure hope someone can get this, if for no less selfish of a reason than to assure it will go to a good home! And if anyone would be passing through the Milwaukee area on their way to go get it, I would love to come along for the ride/to help.

On a side note, isn't this near the Ih8mud, LLC homebase?

Again, this one is NOT mine, but I was soooo tempted to take it on. Unfortunately I decided to get my current Jeep projects off my hands before I take on anything else.

Good luck to any and all!

I agree on the axle flex. Just look at the other pic, and you can tell that the wheel is higher on the driver side and lower on the passenger side.

Also, I already responded to one person that I do NOT know the exact price or actual condition (like my original post states, the craigslist ad is no longer up, but if my memory serves me correctly, it isn't much more than $1k, and I want to say the ad said that is did run/drive.)

My only recommendation is for a person to call the number.

Nice photos of a cool-looking '55!! If it was near me, I'd be buying it, and my wife would be shaking her head at me!!

:D

That is epic
