Just went and looked at it, pretty good shape. There was some rust on the front fenders usual spots and a dent on the rear drivers door (not bad). The "MOTOR is BLOWN" is on the windshield, spark plugs are out??? The truck had a chrome header and a webber carb as well as what looks like a MSD dist.. Wondering what the story is on this truck? Looks like someone took a lot of time and pride in this truck, then to give it to a auction??? Int. looked great as well as the rest of the body. Its a '78 FJ55 Green/Wht. lift spings, shackles, PC ES3000 shocks, CD player, 6x9's, looks like BFG 33/9.50/15 on whitespokes! I am told bidding starts @ $100!!! I would have this truck in a heartbeat but already have 2 under the knife and no room for more:frown: . Location is Auburn/Algona, Wa. you can see it in the auction yard just off of 167 Northbound approx 2 miles before the Hwy 18 turnoff (you can see it from the freeway). I know the game is tomorrow but I want someone local to get this, ___if you DO-or part it PLEASE keep in touch___. Anyone NON-LOCAL sorry I cannot assist in purchasing this vehicle. Auction starts at 11

I'll have to check it out. I actually bought my FJ40 from a guy just a couple of miles away from the auction site.

Looks like all it needs is a engine and you'd have a pretty sweet 55

It went for $1000.00 I was not in a position to pay that much. I talked to one of the two bidders, not the winner and he was not a cruiser guy. He thought he could make a buck. I was not able to talk to the other. Thanks for the heads up and I will keep looking.

Who bought it?
I left to watch the game after I recoginized a dude.
I only had a couple of hundred to spend.
Was it the long haired dude in the goretex?

No. The guy had on a tan carhart work coat with a metal fabricator logo on the back "something like that anyway" Wide build. The other was a small guy, he said he was going for it to make a buck? They were the only two bidders I think.

To much $$$ for me at this time. Still workin on the 60. Someday the right 55 will be there.
