Stock 45v is a noisy ride as is, but rattle doors can be annoying. I need help figuring out how to adjust the door hinges or stoppers to the rattle reduces. I have brand new custom made rubber seals all around, but the door don’t shut tight. There is a 1/4” play on all.
There is very little room to adjust the strikers. The hinges are tight and not worn at all so I tried the door hinges both on the doors and the pillars but also no luck. Any suggestions?

Most my rattles came from the door stops, between door and body, my "fix" was to take some fuel line and put it over the rod covering all of the rod(back to the stops inside door. As I was just experimenting I split the hose the slipped it over the rod, but seeing how it worked(zero door rattles), I will take the end off inside the door and slide the hose over the rod.

Other crazy rattle/clunk I had for years, sounded and felt like the column shirt linkage hitting the floor board under the 45. More than a few folks looked at it...we adjusted everything many times ...no luck. Then one day it came to me....one hood hinge pin(other side from rattle) was a bit loose. So I took some heater hose, cut it to the width of the hinge and put it under the hood so it would push up on the hinge.....and the clunk I had for 13 years was gone.

At this point, there is just one rattle left and it from the center pad on steering wheel. It's such a joy to drive with no chunks or rattles.

So a few piece of hose was all it took

Thanks, I will definitely try the door stops as mine are also lose and disconnected from the doors. There is still a considerable amount of play in the doors and I know they rattle against the pillars and the frame. Before putting down the carpet I installed a few sound deadening panels as well as on the roof before putting on the lining, so there is a bit of sound insulation. My main problem are the doors.

The strikers don’t really move enough to do much difference.

Sometimes trying to move them tighter actually makes it worse you need the little spinner wheel to engage at the right time I spent many hours getting mine to close just right the tailgate was even trickier

Well,I’m definitely not winning with the hinges. Rust is not an issue at all, but the room for adjustment is very small. The tail gate is better now after installing a rubber seal around the window part of the gate. That keeps the lower gate tight also.

Took my doors apart. The suggestion for the rubber hose was good, but it’s actually the big rubber stop that clanks against the inner door panel the causes the noice. I put some vibration reducing material and foam hood liner where the stop hits the door. Much better now.

The hinges? Still no lock and the doors still have about 1/4” play.
