i see that you allready ditched the underpowered original motor for a 200 lb lighter v8 so thats good. The only only thing left is to drive really fast untill it feels like your floating.:steer: that or get out the 1/2" drill bit and bore out all non essential parts untill its one big wiffle ball:hhmm:

Aluminum wheels help too!

If you can, a lexan windshield would help as well (only if its a trailer queen though)

ps That 2nd pic is almost a dead ringer for my cruiser 10 yrs ago! Looks like evans.

pss I hit the scales in buckely/bonney lake on 410 right when I still had 35s. It was 4500. I now have 38.5x14.5s (five of them!) but they are on aluminum rims not steel like the 35s. I added a back seat but went with a smaller box. Its a tuffy tj box instead of my massive carry everything homemade one I had before. To sum it up...not sure exactly what it weighs now but probably around 4600.

Nice rig and lighter than I expected. How much do the pane tanks weigh full? and how many gallon tank is it?

I think gasoline is around 8lbs per gallon.

Yup, that was at Evans. 311a or whatever the trail to the right is out of the parking lot.

Mace - any plans to carry a spare on the rig?

4alarm - How do you get by without a front bumper on the street?

Thanks for the posts,

awp

I'm not sure if my county requires bumpers. My neighbor across the street from me is a DPS officer and hasn't said anything to me about it. I will make a front one soon, just another thing on the to-do list.

No plans to carry a spare. I have one on the trailer but have yet to use it.

pane tanks are about 50 or so lbs.. 8 galls of fuel (ish)

My FJ was 4012 lbs (1820 kg).
Consider that the stock car is supposed to be around 3900 lbs; mine was modified with 80 axles, rollbar, a couple of winches and some other stuff that didn't influenced the weight; adding to that, when I weighted her the car was without hard top and doors (add more or less 300 lbs for them).

Now I made some other works, the main is front 3 link and rear 4 link with air shocks; I still have to weight the car again but I would be happy if it was still around 4000 lbs.
