Before I go look for these on line, anybody have some patch panels that they decided not to use?

Where is the go to place for these?

Thanks

I’ve not seen that iteration before Todd. And while it’s interesting, it looks like it could be a potential disappointment. Most of the time the tub is cut, the skirt is trimmed to the underside of the wheelwell top, which is a lot more metal than I see in your pic.

@thundermcawesum has a pair of quarters that would probably do you more good in the long run. And if you don’t need the corners, I’d bet that Chris would work with you on ‘shrinking’ those panels for shipping. Heck, I might even buy those corners!

Everything you said is correct…

Having said that, this 68 is a bit of a Frankenstein. Lived on hunting ranch for long time, so been butchered up a little bit. Bought it alreafy cut with fiberglass fenders….

Hear me out, my sons make fun of my old guy fascination with tall skinny tires. To thwart their smack talk I bought a set of 35x10.50x15 tires. So I need a bigger wheel opening, like I get from the flares, but I still like all metal look. I have a friend here in Dallas that is wonderful fabricator, I’m actually going to buy 2 of these and he is going to cut in the middle and add 2-3 inches to “stretch” them. This will give bigger opening but still give me a somewhat original look. These patches have the lip built in so the fabricator can see what they are supposed to look like….

At least that’s the plan😁

Thanks for the shout out Mark!

I have some quarters that aren’t getting too much interest, so I’d be happy to trim them. For Sale - Buffalo, NY: FJ40 outer rockers and quarter panels - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/buffalo-ny-fj40-outer-rockers-and-quarter-panels.1368774/
