Nice job on the postbox. Looks like your front prop shaft is backwards mate, just FYI.

Are you going to be able to register that in Tassie? - might have to move down there.

How's that sun roof going to handle the rain?

Well, since i bled and adjusted the brakes, there was still some air in there, took 1 pump to get a pedal..
sorta never worried about bleeding anymore as I found some perished brake lines, and figured ild bleed when I got new hoses made up...

Some of you can see where this is heading :).

got home from work, tired, needed to move it over a bit so the mrs could park on the lawn...

popped the clutch to get the front tyre off the garden bed,and promptly flattened my letterbox :D.
Only broke the tailight lense on the shorty, but the letterbox got nailed !!.

well, the mrs called me a bloody fool, and she was right...rookie mistake, coulda been worse...So,got new brake lines made up today, fitted them....and got called into work...so on sunday ill bleed them and sort the handbraje out.

 oh well, at least you had a good reson to buy the brake lines. 'I don't want to flatten the mailbox again honey!' :steer:

Common Dan, I have been trying to get you lads to move down there for years, NOW you'll move?! Sheez. :-)

Tassie is pretty lax on regos here...if rego has been expired 3 months or longer,it needs an inpection...but theres no yearly inspections, only time it needs inspection again is if you get defected...

Even then though, the inspection isnt overly hard...ive had 3 inspections on my daily driver clubsport..and have passed them while being too loud, too low and have a spooled diff :P...but obviosly, ill have the bodylift out and stock wheels on the cruiser before i get it inspected..

The sunroof has been all siliconed up so its not functionable...I do have another single piece pop up sunroof laying around, but im unsure about putting it in due to it may leak...

Ohhh, and by the way...the letterbox made it :)...I bashed it back into a sorta letterbox shape with a hammer, and screwed it back on the post :)....it looks sorta normal if you squint enough :)

Oh well,at least my comedic antics keep the neighbours and my kids entertained :)

Josh,

The boss wants to move to NZ before Tassie, but then again, we haven't all been done to the apple isle together.

SA's rego laws are pretty lax too, just that if any of the boys in blue saw that coming down the road - well lets just say that it would get all the attention for the wrong reasons.

Our new "abstract art" letterbox :) custom bodywork, custom offset mounting pole for that "raked" look, lightly peppered with tail light lens plastic for the shimmering effect...a modern interpretation of a classic design...a timeless masterpeice that will accumulate value at a steady rate.

Well, that was my explanation to the mrs after she clearly said when it happened "well, you need to go get a NEW letterbox now"... :).

Yea,bodylift coming out shortly...been concentrating on brakes and steering lately..ordering my double arm from superior engineering and tie rod end kit on tuesday. The last coupla weeks I havnt made as much progress as i woulda liked, but been feeling pretty burnt out...needed a few days away from it so i could relax a bit on my days off work...ive been on the go constantly the last few months.

Buuuuut, back into it tomorrow :)...might try to get some primer on the doors early this week, while im waiting for my steering stuff to arrive..

Well,jobs completed today.
Bled brakes properly...they all work now :)...the neighbourhood letterboxes are safe now..

Diff leak fixed,,,had a stripped bolthole in the diff housing..drained oil, pulled backing plate off,put a slightly longer bolt in,and put a nut on the other side, and put it all back together

Adjusted handbrake so it works :)

Another Tasmanian! :)

yea mate,im from down hobart way...was talkin to you on facebook a coupla weeks ago,i advertised looking for some 40 series back seats and a few other bits :)
