Took me awhile and I had to elicit the help of professional to help, but the old FJ is finally painted and almost all put back together.

Have some half doors coming this week along with some other goodies and then onto the craiglist so I can modify the green FJ80 for wheeling. (then get another beater 40 to fix up)

btw- the pink/ red residue on the bumper is just dust. I cleaned it up, but had already taken these pictures

Looks real nice, but I think you put the bezel on upside-down. :D

Thanks fellars- The nice thing about this is it's pretty original still. The only things added are lockers in the back and the lift. Other than that, the body is bondo/ rust free, the engine is original although rebuilt, the top is in good shape, etc.

I'm hoping someone who wants a nice looking classic will buy it- not someone who will tear it up and change the engine, tranny etc.

I'm going to put the half doors on this weekend and then fab some bars that can be used to support a safari top while keeping the back bench seats in.

Then, I'll put it up for sale and hopefully it will take a little while to sell it so I can drive it around

What's the deal with upside down bezel? I don't see what you are talking about??? Have many posts talking about bezel reversal and now upside down. Is this a joke because itt is the same both ways or is there a difference? I can't tell by the pic on my sorry monitor.

IIRC, depends on the year of the rig. For the earlier years the thicker side goes on top!

This one is too nice! I'll get another 40 and start the process all over again.

I can't really utilize this one right now anyway. I'll get a fixer upper and then by the time it's ready for the road my daughter will actually be able to ride in it.

Can't really take a 16 month old out for a fun ride. She likes to help me, so we'll start another project that she'll actually be able to enjoy.

No top?

I have the top and it's in great shape. Just have it off and hope to put the safari top on for a nice spring

let us know when you list it.
