Cool stuff Pimp, nice to see an original! Good to know it isn't convex like the one Beno found. Although I think I am still going to run the convex mirror on mine since it looks like a dead ringer for the original minus the curve

I think this is the correct fender mount mirror head for the LV, it came off my 64LV(which is a 64 frame with a 65 build body, it stamped 65 on VIN plate along with brass 65 tag)

mirror is flat

the mirror looks in decent shape, but inside a bunch of stuff(rust I guess) rattles around, as well as white spots under the glass(. So I replaced it with the 87901-60011..which looks great and darn close. But it looks like the 7=87901-55011 would be a closer match

87901-60011 on the 64 FJ45LV, also sporting some FJ55 mirror(I guess they are worth their weight in gold now, glad I saved a few sets NIB)

Europe got those mirrors, guessing 79+

not sure on the years - but they certainly suit the later models. Be interested to know if Beno can still get a hold of them?

I got the cheap euro/Australian style mirrors for my 60 from SOR years ago. They were great upgrades for an fj60 with larger convex heads on each side. The right angle piece that holds the head to the arm was plastic and one suffered a terrible death when my fat ass cat climbed on it and broke it off.

I've wondered what the OEM parts were made of.

The "glass" actually plastic rattled in the heads on the aftermarket ones.

No a 62FJ40 would have the smaller round mirror head Onur posted, HTH

That is correct but the original mirrors didn't have the reinforcements. I bought this on eBay last week. Unfortunately without the glass. Seems impossible to get a new mirror glass in that because the edge is seamed around the mirror glass. Did someone manage to get a new mirror glass in an old housing?

not oem. at least not the arm. the lower bracket appears to be. mirror head may or may not be.

Awesome thread!!

I need new mirrors and I have the stock plastic 90303 ones now. They will not stay in position going down the interstate and the plastic is cracked. But I like the arms 90301 that are mounted on the door that accept the plastic mirrors. My question is can I some how mount mirror 60011 on the existing arm 90301? Can I disassemble the 60011 and make it fit, because it is a ball and socket type mirror anyway??

I know this thread has been idle for a while so any response is greatly appreciated.
