Does anyone knows exact dinensions of the Tub on the 40-series? I need the distance between wheel arches on the back from the inside of the tab and inside distsnce between the rear fenders.
I don't have my 40 with me and need dimensions. I searched the forum and the web, but only got approximate dimensions.
Distance between the wheel arches - ~47"
Distance between the rear fenders - ~53"

Does this help...multiply mm x .03937 to get inches.

looks like 1190 mm?? = 46.85039 inches

I know that the distance between the rear wheel wells is roughly 40". I just bought a new rear seat and it just fits and it's 40".

Looks like I got the wrong dimensions.
I found that between the jumping seats it should be 1210mm = ~47.5". Assumed that its the same as between the wheel arches. Looks like it is not.
The rear wheel track is 1350mm = ~53". Original tires were very skinny and the were placed close to the body lines. I assumed that fenders distance should be around those 53-54".
But I need more precise numbers. As I can see my first assumtion was wrong. Good that I find it now. So its 40" between the wheel arches. What about inside between the fenders? I hope someone has 40 on his driveway and can take measurements...

I'm not sure where you mean.

This is what's about 40".

Are you asking for the distance beyond either side to include where the jump seats sit?

Im refering to the distance between the upper edges on the rear fenders from Left to Right. Basically the distance between the wheel arches + width of L and R wheelwell - the width of the mating surface Tub-HardTop on the Tub sides (the distance for the rear seat if it mounts on top of the wheel arches)

Are you measuring for a seat?

I found the guy who has several different seats, but I don't have the size of seats and my 40 is in the garage far from my home to measure the distances.
I need 3-person seat, so it has to be wider then my current bench seat (between the wheel arches).

I have a huge 3 person seat from a Dodge passenger van and it's about 54" across. It no longer fits with my Metal-tech cage. You can have it for free. Harnesses not included.

I did just get a Bestop Trailmax II seat that is 40" across the botton and 42" across the back and my three kids fit in it.

Why it doesn't fit MetalTech cage?
What cage is on the pictures?
So you are saying you can install 3 car seats into BesTop Trailmax?
Where are you located?

The seat sits up too high so the passenger's head comes close to the bar. Also, the seat has arm rests that hit the sides of the cage.

The pictures are of my old rollbar that was an Icon style. It was also too low for this seat.

I didn't try any car seats in the Trailmax seat. I had my 12 and 9 yr old girls and their friend sit in it and all three were comfortable. They commented that a 4th could even squeeze in.

I am in Boston and I was about to junk it.

I have to put 3 high-back booster seats, and 3rd does not fit my bench. I'm using Graco TurboBoosters.
The seat I look for doesnt have armrests.
I do plan to put MetalTech cage in next year.
