I was looking around at pull a part in nashville today and came across an early 40. It was listed as a 72 but I can't say for sure, there were no vin plates. The frame is pretty rusted and the body isn't much better. Surprisingly the best part of the body was the rear floor and fenders, I wish it would work on my 79. The motor looked to be complete, transfer case, trany, axles, and driveshafts still there. Seat frames looked good and there were a few heater parts scattered around. It has been picked over some but probably not by a mudder, there are still good parts there. I think the 4 wheels are original, they have the clips for the hubcaps. I did ask and they said they don't sell complete vehicles and there is no title for it. Maybe this will help someone.

how were the rear doors? might need to ride down there

I also would like to have those rear doors.

No s***. If they are even remotely decent they are worth some cash. Was there a gas tank in it? If someone goes out there I need some small bits - Please let me know!

The rear doors werent the worst ive ever seen. The one on the drivers side had a dent on the outside, and there was some rust through on the bottom, i think all of the rust holes were on the bottom or the inside. The gas tank was laying in the back, looked like someone had taken an axe to it. The rear doors were the only thing i considered gabbing. I had a phillips head screwdriver but most of the screws are rounded out and rusted. Can i make these dors work on a '79?

Me and a local guy are heading down saturday.

Where exactly is it? I am considering a road trip.

Sent from my thing with Woody's junk.

From the pictures, I think that is the pic and pull off Centennial Blvd. on the North West side of Nashville off Briley Parkway.

3 hours away from Knoxville!! 170 miles

Is anyone going to raid this before saturday? If so rance wants the wheels

I am making arrangements to go Saturday. I will gladly remove anything for anyone for the price I pay (and a very nominal fee to help offset the cost of the trip). I need some small bits but was going to get all I could for fear of useful stuff getting crushed.

On the pull a part site it says "wheel regular $7.92 tire and steal rim $14.59". I hope it still has some decent stuff on it. Thanks Rance

im looking for a front heater if its 72 or earlier

I have that on the list for you andy

We need an update Matt!! Was everything still on the truck? The suspense is killing me

well i am back. some one beat me to the doors. The guy that got them actually came back to get more stuff while we were there. He said he got the top and all of the doors.
But I got 5 wheels and tires for rance. I got chris his parts. and I got andy the heater. the front and rear diff were trashed and the tcase wouldn't shift and the front crank pulley fell off when we pulled on it. All of the lights were either broke or the screws were stripped out. I got a couple of switches and I got the lower dash pad. That was about it. The pictures look much better than it actually was. The body had a lot of patch panels like the rear seal and both bed sides had been replaced.
we left both parts of the bench seat, the frames were in good shape. the window frame was good and so was the dash but would needed to be cut off because the philips heads wouldn't budge.
