Hi eveyone. I am putting a vintage air system & Hollye Sniper in my 1982 FJ43. Being a south American model it never even had a heater. Anyway I am struggling with finding any photos of factory house route for the return from the heat. The fist picture (dirty) is from my 1976 which was a barn find and the most stock FJ40 I have found. But it has a couple oddities so I don;t know if this is the factory return location. Anyway I have a couple questions about the water ports on top of the head. #1 arrow is the port closest to the firewall and is where the heater hose return is going. The #2 port is the analog temp sensor.
(FYI SOR doesn't have a diagram that I could find that shows this)
Question #1. Is this port (1976 arrow #1) the proper location for heater line return.
Question #2. Can ports #2 & #3 be used for tempsensors?
Question #3. Does anyone know of a temp sensor that has 2 outputs, 1 for the analog gauge in the stock cluster and 1 for an EFI kit like the Sniper.
In regards to the temp sensor question. I need to put an additional temp sensor for the Snipe EFI so I am wondering if I can put it in the port #3 if there is not a temp sensor with dual outputs.
The second picture is of my FJ43 (better view of the head ports). The third picture is for another question. The thermostat has 2 ports in the lower bowl. What were these ports ment for?
Thank you to eveyone that always helps with my questions.
