FJ40 2F Intake Manifold on a 87 FJ60 2F?? (1 Viewer)

I've got a buddy who needs an intake for an 87 FJ60 motor that's in his FJ40. He's already started the desmog process so I was wondering if maybe putting the FJ40 intake would be better because of the egr "block-off" issue.

Are these compatible?

Engine has headers and will probably use FJ40 carb/aftermarket air cleaner

I'll give you a tentative yes that the head and intake are compatible. I have an intake from a '85 FJ60 mounted on a '77 2F head and it works just fine. So I think you could do the opposite - early 2F intake on older 2F head - and it would work.
