Wanted FJ40 $10k range in midwest (2 Viewers)

Hi I'm a long time lurker and just joined the forum. I've had a few yotas in the past and finally am in a spot where I'm looking for a 40. I'm not opposed to a long drive to check one out but figured I'd post here and see if anyone has anything near Nebraska for sale. I've used searchtempest to check CL daily for about 6 months with no luck so far so thanks for any feedback or suggestions!

thanks flatlander, yeah i know it'll be a long process for sure, it took my brother about a year and my old man spent about 2 years until he found his new one last month. I've finally sold my jeep and need to come back to the yota side of life and am chomping at the bit!

Any particular year? Original or does that matter? I found mine for around your price and there was another one in southwest MO that sold for $8500, but those are rare and have to show up (like I did) with cash. The new IPhones don't have the CL app that allows you search multiple cities which only makes it harder.

I like the upgrades the 1975 and up and have always been a sucker for ambulance doors but I'm not opposed to pre 1975 by any means. I've got cash and if I find something a little over my budget I know I can come up with a few grand extra if needed so I'll keep searching!

I have a great 66' daily driver that's 99% original. Original 6 cyl engine. Was repainted and reupholstered 12 years ago and looks like it has just enough patina. The body is very solid and the only rust areas are on both interior front wheels, all other body panels are solid. Had on eBay for $10k, I'll sell it to you for $9.5k and you'll probably have to add another $800-$900 to ship it from my house in Las Vegas. It really is a nice FJ40 and drives and runs perfect.
