Yes they are. There probably isn't a lot to choose from in Austria. Definitely need some early one on that rig. It turned out beautiful

I'd love to see some pics of the interior.

Gunter is a very nice guy and our transaction is one I'll never forget. He was desperately looking for a hood emblem (one of the last parts needed) as his 28 was being painted. He said he's gonna send me some high resolution pics when all is finished. Looks like it's time to send a reminder. As I said I'd love to see the interior in detail and especially interested in those cargo glass protectors.

So what do you think? Do I own a little piece of a FJ35, or is this ashtray found in another Cruiser?

It is different than the one in the rear of the bench seat of my LV, but that's definitely the same one on your dash. What year is your LV?

Can you post a picture of your whole dash? I'm interested in the difference through the years.

Great pics. Thanks.

Here's the difference between the LV ashtray mounted on the back of the front bench seat and the early dash Ashtray found on the FJ35V and the early FJ45Vs and LVs.

So I guess I'll post it here since this is a thread about the FJ35. After buying Marv/Steve's LV in 2009 and throwing a FJ25 bib on the front, Marv and I started having chats about the FJ35 and the history behind it. He had said he'd never seen one before, nor heard of anyone owning one in all of his travels to other countries. Then one day he came back from a trip and said, "You're never gonna guess what I found, a FJ35. Yep, FJ35 stamp right on the frame." Somewhere in New Zealand in a warehouse with about 50 cars parked around it sits the only FJ35 That I've ever heard of. We talked about what it would take to go back and get it, but that obviously never happened. That would be one very rare Land Cruiser to own.

In New Zealand? That's my back yard? Do you have any more info of it’s whereabouts? My FJ25 is the only one in the country that I know and not many people in New Zealand are aware that it exist here. I personally yet to come across of cruisers (other than mine and two FJ45LV) earlier than 1970 here.

Note the 3 horizontal raised bars, coincidence or some design that means something? Similar to the dash, and front bib. Any other places on a Land Cruiser? John
