:hmm:

forget Toyoyta , they are not very helpful (same in Germany) no interests in history, vintage Toyotas,
different story Mercedes, Porsche , BMW , they all have history-departments here in Germany, making new old parts for their vintage cars.
Toyota only want sell new cars ... awful
Cheers

makes it fun...especially when trying to find out what they were building/producing during WWII.

They have always been very secretive about it.

how forthcoming is MB when asked about WWII? are they OK with it?

email at where its kept:

acording to Toyota Customer Experience Centre:

"Currently, the FJ25 you mention is located at Toyota Motor Corporation
Australia at Woolooware Bay. "

Ouch!!! So if I read this correctly, they claim that the Cruiser in question is already owned by them??????????????????????????????????????

Toyota's beginings were in textiles...and that was the bread and butter for the 1st quarter of the companies history...they do have alot dedicated to that...not just cars/trucks...not defending :)

that have different priorities when it comes to history...they have alot when Sakichi Toyoda ran things.

I've been in contact with Thiess Contracting and had quite a few emails ...she looked around a bit and could only find some pics ( I have already posted them up ) ...but...she will keep an eye out for some more. She says all data type stuff went to Toyota AU when Thiess sold to toyota.

Mother's Day present for my wife........24" maple broke off about 15' up blocking the driveway so we couldn't go out............25 was actually semi-useful for once........

Which reminds me, John #1, do you think you could contact me?

Trying to find the chassis number of the "1st" Toyota in Aust
I rang the "Customer Experience Centre - (toll free) 1800 252 097 (Mon to Fri 8am - 6pm AEST)"
and each time they tried to put me though to Used cars!!! LOL, seems no one there even knows about the 25!!
maybe i should have seen if they had it up for sale??? LOL

On count the FJ's Some 25's were listed as unknown owners. Some were posted with out country a listed. Could the group come to a number of 25's in the USA? With out knowing the origin of the photos some people posted (craigslist, ebay, etc ads) also could have some have been a re-post? Due to change of ownership and paint job or restoration could some have been posted more than once?
Possible number I counted is probably off without more info is USA owned 69?

Hopefully we'll get more info on those that were from ads or little is known, I'm pretty confident there aren't any doubles. :hmm:

Unless there was a country mentioned, or it's a FJ28 I'd assume U.S. I may have a few.............................but not many more.

Not sure if this is an ok place to post photos...

I explored the coastal range with a top map and a compass.
Back way from portland to manzanita.
Nice to get out in the sunshine :)
