I am original owner of a 1984 FJ 60. I had it raised with OME 2 inch springs about 10 years ago. Unfortunately I am getting arthritis in my right hip and have difficulty getting into the truck. Not quite ready for a hip replacement. I am considering going back to standard height springs. Any suggestions as to where I can get these? Any shop recommendations near Northern Virginia? Thanks, Mike

I suspect your OMEs have sagged 1/2" by now. You could try removing a leaf from each pack. There aren't a lot of good 'stock height' options for leaf springs. SOR formerly sold some for FJ40s, but I'm not sure about FJ60s. They were pricey.

Find a good leaf spring shop in your town and check on pricing to have them re arched. Might come out a little less than replacing your current springs. It works pretty well, i had to re arch some Allpro springs on my 4runner solid axle swap that were too tall. Took 2 inches of height out of them

A set of side step sliders will make world of difference getting in and out.

Here's my set up. 2" OME suspension with 255/85r16's. Slider are old redline step sliders I believe. Would be pretty easy to have something made like this. Protect your rockers and make it easy to get into and out of without re-doing your suspension.
