Dealer FJ 45, 54K OG mi, NOT CHEAP in MT

54,000 miles, great forest green paint, 66,000$

no afffiliation here, it is at a local Toyota dealer. I am passing through Bozeman tomorrow, and may stop by to drool all over it and see if any of the salesmen will fire it up for me. Thought another Mudder should see it too!

(Harken I ask to take it for a spin around the lot too??!?!!)

Speedo

I've seen this ad before and couldn't find it again.

One thing that is a bit disconcerting to me is the fact that the speedometer is only in miles. FJ45's were not sold in the states in 1978 so I am guessing that this truck originally came from Canada given its proximity to the border. If so, the speedometer should be in both miles and kilometers.

That's not to say that there aren't 54,000 original miles on the truck, but it looks like the guage cluster may have been changed.

And even if he swapped out the cluster, it is not from a 78 US Spec rig as it should have Miles on the outer and French miles (or 'Kilometres', as them-thar Froggies call 'em) in the centre.

We could give him the benefit of the doubt and reckon that he matched them. When I brought my rig back here from Australia I put a year-appropriate cluster in and translated the French Miles to proper Miles.

Still, for $60k, I'd sure like to have a speed-o which belongs to a '78...
