If interested I currently have a 1974 fj40 tub that I am willing to sell. It is in Michigan. I can ship it if you make arrangements. This is an OEM steel tub.

Hi all: I will take some better pictures for all. The tub is from the desert so it has superficial rust. I purchased for a Michigan build. I actually have 2 that I will be selling. 1 is already primed. Both are from the desert. 1 is from a 66 and the other is a 74. If you are strongly interested I will take pictures of anything you would like.

I am bringing all of these to Michigan. The one below is $3500. It will be in Commerce Township. I can deliver between Washington state and Michigan for a negotiated fee. First come first serve. I have a total of 3 tubs. 50% deposit 50% on delivery.

I have to laugh at this because you could have just asked about what you don’t understand versus throw a tantrum. And no- I don’t want your business- that’s done.

Yep I’m from Michigan. But, sometimes people travel… they go to far away places to get cool stuff. Like these tubs. You think there are any tubs in Mi? SALT. So… I had to come to a high desert. No water, no salt= little rust.

If you read what I wrote I said I will deliver these on my way back to Mi. That means I drive and deliver these. You think I would drive out of my way to deliver these without a deposit? Perhaps you would- but not me. I’m driving a tundra towing a trailer with 4 FJ40’s on it. I don’t pass many gas stations on my return trip.. think I’ll go out of my way for free? to hope you are committed and have capital to pay for a tub when I arrive? Not so much.

The truth is I’ve disassembled 4 Washington state FJ 40s this week to find parts I need. It’s the no SALT thing again- if you are tracking. I will lay it out. I have a ton of parts. No rust. I posted here- first time- because I figured maybe there are others in a special interest group and forum that want special things… make sense? You tracking still- or are you still licking the windows?

And good luck finding a ORM tub there guy… because you won’t. They are rare. They are far away from Mi.., quiz time- why? SALT. So why do we have to go far away to find special things? SALT. So why did I travel here? You getting it?

And lastly, sometimes when you don’t understand you can just ask. But don’t ask me… you could offer me $20000 and no tub for the window locker. Glad you are out. The air is better.

No rust ? Not sure what tubs you’re discussing but those look ruff. You did state the tub was in Michigan and now you’re stating something else.

Listen. I am no amateur at this game. I was building Land Cruisers when you were in diapers. I have sold hundreds of parts on here including tubs over the years. I have a great reputation. I have never cheated anyone nor will I. I’m just saying the inconsistencies in your listing look very suspicious as I pointed out. Scammers hop on our forum often and the guys on this form try to look after each other. If it’s in Michigan say so. If it’s in Washington say so. Don’t change stories and then try to badger someone else for looking out after our community members.

Poster, what else you got ? IMO thats pricy for that tub. So whats left over after you picked the 4 ??? post it up. Its all good the guys were just pointing out that the post had some red flags of scammers commonly do. Now that thats over can we see the hoard ?
