I must have had my '78 FJ too long (since new!)... I am trying to put on new seatcovers and can't figure out how to budge out the headrests.... is there a secret?

Thanks, Dennis O. Santa Rosa, CA

Get behind them then push forward and up at the same time. The shafts have a groove in them midway down. The other thing that may help is to punch them down first - this frees them up a bit, then push forward and pull up at the same time.

Shawn - thanks, you nailed it! I put a little Tri-Flo in 'em and then leaned on it and - presto - it worked. Now I have new sheepskin for the driver and passenger....
