I want to use my original section of trans coolant hard line and adapt it to 6AN flex line. I need a 6AN to 10mm Compression fitting. Can't seem to find one. I got a 6AN to 3/8 compression but don't think I can make that 3/8 I.D go over the 10mm hard line. Ideally a 6AN to the original flare on the land cruiser but I think I'm dreaming. Any good source for the fittings I need?

Matts solution is by far the easiest. Another option is you can ditch the lines in their entirety, and put an adapter fitting straight out the side of the transmission, then run -6 fittings and -6 hose from the trans itself all the way up to your cooler.

New hard lines are not that hard to make. Use the tube nuts that Matt recommended.

Man those are pretty. This might be a fun project for my truck. Thanks for the pics!

I already put 6AN in the transmission. So I could get 6AN fittings to the cooler and do what you said. I really like the hard lines that the other member posted. Thanks for the suggestion.

Old thread, but I wanted to do the same. Here’s what worked for me- generic 3/8 to AN6 hard line compression adapter, but you have to make a couple of modifications to get it to work with the 10mm (.395 in) TC line. Discard the 3/8 ferrule and replace it with a 10mm ferrule, also available on Amazon. You will also have to bore out slightly the half of the fitting that slides over the tube to get it to fit. Once compressed, the .020 in difference does not matter, and they seal up fine, no leaks under pressure.

Have you read the thread ? Read it again if you have.
I read it multiple times... and just read it again. This was never said explicitly. I think anyone coming to this thread knows that they could just wing it by purchasing random parts and testing them out, but they are coming here for advice so they don't waste time and money. This is one of the top google results when looking to convert a 10mm hardline to a 6AN fitting.

I may be blunt sometimes, but if I post something to be forever engrained in the threads of the internet, it is because I truly believe it :)

Another option, if you still have the original M16x1.5 inverted flare fitting on your lines, I do now manufacture a AN adapter for that since no one else does amazingly.

Really no one makes that. Are you sure?
