Sorry mate don't have to many pics, that's conveyor belt mounted on the 35mm steel lip 👍

I bought some 50mm extended anti-inversion lift shackles (+ new u-bolts and flip kit) from Superior Engineering for my '93 HZJ75 Troop Carrier. My intention is to keep my stock leafs and use these shackles to gain 1" of lift in order to fit 35 x 11.5 tires. I will also relocate the front axle 1" forward for proper fire wall clearance.

So, I ordered a set of 3* caster shims (castor for all you non-Americans) for the front axle, thinking that was about the right amount of added caster for 1" of lift and 35s, but before I go to all the trouble of installing everything, I wanted to verify that is correct thinking. Rule of thumb is 1* of increased caster for every 1" of lift BUT since I will be obtaining the lift via shackles, that means only the front eyelets of the front leaf springs will actually raise 2", while the fixed perches at the rear of the springs will stay at the stock height. From a geometry perspective, it seems to me that I would need more more like 2* of caster in order to achieve 1* actual net change. Am I explaining this clearly? Anyone have thoughts on this?

does it already have a arb or similar 2" lift on it?

my 70 needed 2" lift, axle moved ahead and longer shackles to properly clear 35's

That’s what I did. And added 2” spacers so I could run the 80 rims. Will remove if I switch back to stock rims.

No extension on bumps yet but have not done any serious off-road in it as that’s what my 60 series is for. No caster shims as moving the axle forward seemed to do that already. Drives really well currently. Tracks straight and does not wander more than it should . 2” springs and greasable shackles would be nice I think.

i put 6* shims in and it drives way better, yes and wheel spacers to clear the rear tub
you dont need bump stops as it never gets that far up even under extreme 4x4ing

I’ve got spacers already. Good to hear your 6° wedges are working well, I wasn’t sure what amount of degree would be best but maybe I’ll get some 6° just to be safe. Which ones do you have? Can I order some stateside?

there were none in with the original lift, but once going to longer shackles and bigger tires the steering was suffering.
I made mine from tacoma leafs on my 2x72" belt grinder, at six degree specs

you can get them at alot of 4x4 vendors
6* spec to make them is .45" to 0.1" over 6" length, hole at the centre point
