Registered here in Jan 2015 when I bought my first 80 (a white ‘96) and you all were a great resource. Didn’t have to do much other than put in a new starter. But grateful for this community.
That one had spent too many years in MN and I eventually sold it a few years later as it was crumbling (but it handled the drive from MN to TN beautifully, other than dropping the muffler in Chicago).
Recently ended up with a ‘94 (long story- my brother bought it on a whim at auction, couldn’t find anyone to work on it and wasn’t going to do it himself so sold it to me for a song). Would not have pulled the trigger if I didn’t know this place and all the brains ready to be tapped here. I’m confident I’ll be in over my head shortly. Thanks in advance!
230k mi on this one - so far so good. On Tuesday, rear heater lines started drip-dripping. On Thursday they shifted to pumping out a steady stream, so time to do a bypass. Ordered the kit from LCP…hoping it gets here before the snow flies later this week. In the meantime, a couple of pics:
