First Gen 4wd Pickups replacemetn tanks. (1 Viewer)

I thought I posted this here before, but i couldn't findit when I looked at my posts, so here it is,


A 1st gen carb 4wd pickup(79-83) has the exact same fuel tank as a 2nd gen 2wd(84-89) of the same bed length, which is waaaay more available

a 1st gen 4wd short bed, fuel tank, is identical to a 2nd gen 2wd short bed pickup

I put this in and it fit perfectly, I have photos somewhere of them side by side, but i can't find them, when I do I'll add them to this post.

Another guy did the same thing with a 1st gen 4wd longbed, and a 2nd gen 2dw longbed, and it too was identical, bolted right in..

I suspect that these tanks will also fit 2wd, but be a small upgrade in capacity, but i have not tested it.(I don''t own a 2wd 1st gen)
