Looking to make a couple changes right of the bat, and looking for some suggestions/feedback:
1. Rear folding down seats. Should/Can I remove these? I have garage space and honestly don't have a need for them for years to come.
2. Tires and Rims. Not a fan of the stock 21's and will be heading to the snow this winter, so they need to be addressed. Also keen to do some Fire Roads/Sand dunes (CA) this year before the winter. 95% of driving is just city/hwy, so looking to avoid the noisy tires. Rim sizes and Tire sizes. BF Goodrich KO2's seems to be the go to for LC owners, so likely going that direction unless, that's no longer the case.
2a. Air Compressor... Should I get the ARB mounted under the hood or just throw one in the car for offroading days/trips.
2b. Does the Air Compressor need a second battery, or do you just use the main battery. Is a second battery recommended here and/or for 16+ LX's
3. Roof rack, I'm keen to get a flat, car length one. A local LC outfitter, quoted me $1,500 for the Slimline II - Front Runner rack and $500 for install. Any thoughts on going a different direction here. I'd like to get a Cartop tent in the future and I simply need a roof rack, I put all sorts of things from canoes, kayaks, and surfboards on my car on a pretty regular basis.
Future Add-ons, in no particular order, curious for a thumbs up/down for these:
Front Bumper
Front Bumper w/Winch
Rear Bumper
Rear Bumper with place to store the spare tire
Rear Bumper, Tire + Storage for Cooler/Gas Tanks. Ladder?
Auxiliary Tank where the old spare used to be
*Water or Gas or both - I have uses for both, so curious if that's an option
Removing the air suspension (when/if it fails). I currently have it turned off for getting in/out of car.
Things that are cool, but will probably hold off for awhile:
Front/Rear Lockers - okay with the stock center Diff
Auxiliary Lighting
Snorkel
Skid Plates and Body Armor
LMK if other popular things to do that I'm forgetting/not thought of
