I have been waiting for years to get a lift kit and bigger tires however the Goodyear Wrangler all season tires I had still had lots of tread left on them till a couple of months ago, so after around 78K miles, I finally upgraded my Lexus GX 460! :)

It’s a 2.5” Iron Man Foam Cell Pro lift kit with Falken Wildpeak A/T4w tires (285/70/17), Method 312 bronze wheels, and Cali Raised ditch lights!

Initially I was looking for BFG K03’s, however people had told me that they make a lot of noise and the Wildpeaks were a much nice ride, however both are great tires in my opinion. I do love the width, trad pattern and look of the Wildpeak A/T4W’s!

I was also looking at Dobinsons lift kits but the shop told me (after speaking to the Dobinsons rep on the phone) that there was an issue with keeping the KDSS stock, so I went with the Iron Man foam cell pros. The foam cell pros ride great! I think it rides just as good as stock if not better and it had a bar that worked well with KDSS.

The shop did a great job with the install that there was no KDSS lean, the alignment was wonderful and it just looks great with a wonderful stance!

I also went with Cali Raised lights over Rigid lights purely for the price, but the Cali Raised ditch lights look and work great!

I was actually looking at a JW Offroad tire carrier for my spare tire to be installed on the rear gate, however the shop told me that they’d need to drill into the body of the SUV and with a lot of rains here in Florida, water would seep through and it wouldn’t be good. So I stuck with my 31” stock spare wheel.

The only thing I would add at this point is a Thule cargo box and that’s it. :)

I’ve got all the upgrades I wanted and it’s such a blessing!

Here are the list of all the upgrades I’ve done to my GX 460 recently and over the years:
- Grom Audio VLine2 (for Apple CarPlay integration with the stock infotainment)
- Crawl control and MTS retrofitted
- OEM tow hitch
- OEM cross bars for the roof rack
- Iron Man Foam Cell Pro 2.5” lift kit
- Falken Wildpeak A/T4W (285/70/17) tires
- Method 312 wheels (bronze)
- Cali Raised ditch lights

What do you all think of my Lexus GX 460 build/upgrades? (please check out my YouTube video as well)

Here’s my YouTube video on the review of my upgrades

Looks very nice!
Any plans on trimming up the front and rear bumpers, and removing the side steps before a boulder does it for you?
I see you're in So. Ca. If you're anywhere near South O.C., our off road club is doing Saddleback Mountain (Santiago Peak) this weekend.

Thanks! Actually my family and I moved to Florida so no lore mountains but we love the tropical weather! :)

I don’t want to trim anymore as I like the look of the “predator grille” on the GX 460 and it looks “empty” to me when all the front/rear fascia has been shaved.

I get function over form but with my 2.5” lift and big tires I should have plenty of clearance for light off-roading and mostly on road use. :)

I also like the stock side steps with the lights at the bottom and it’s pretty functional for us.
