Hello everyone, my name is Adam and after about 4 months of creeping on Mud to help with my search for a decent 100 Series, the search is finally over.
Located it right outside Seattle, had it shipped to Denver and finally picked it up today. Angie is a 2003 in Galactic Gray with around 130k miles. I was lucky it has spent its whole life on the west coast and the underbody is nearly spotless (which was the biggest plus in addition to the lower miles).
Getting some body work done to fix a couple parking lot dings then going to work on building her into a light overland rig while my DD and who knows after that.

I'm sure I will start a thread once the build gets going but in the meantime pardon how filthy it is in the picture below, hope to have a nice cleaned up one in a couple days (grime was so thick two passes through the carwash didn't even take care of it).

Looking forward to getting to know you guys and learn as much as possible about the 100 Series.

Yeah by the sounds of it I was the first to make a move on it by less than an hour, she is a little rougher around the edges than they said (had to buy unseen) but a boatload of maintenance records, near spotless undercarriage, and I am a big fan of the color combo... nothing a little time wont fix.

Welcome! You are just down the road...
PabloCruise, around abouts where are you located? I actually just made it to Pueblo a few weeks ago, had been in NW New Mexico for the last 16 months.

Congrats! Don't waste your money on repairing parking lot dings! If you plan to overland, you will probably do a lot worse damage to the body from trees and such. Think of all the goodies you can buy with the money you'll save on body work too!

had to check out front to see if mine was still there (in Seattle). looks just like mine. love that color combo.

And your first post is at a gas station! :) Enjoy the ride and the mods......
HA you know it, not the first and sure won't be the last time

Pretty awesome you got it yesterday and at the local Cruiser meet the next day. I didn't get a chance to check it out but it looked clean.

I'm just down the road so let me know if you need help with anything, I'm still learning too but don't mind lending a hand.

Ha yeah I was kind of surprised it all worked out that way ha but I figured the best way to learn more is get around people in the know and I don't want to waste any time. You better believe I may take you up on that offer and same to you, I don't mind killing time in a garage; all I know is there will be a lot more room under the 100 than under my mustang.

Congrats on the new ride! And like everyone else, I like the color combo as well!

I live/work in the Ft. Collins/Loveland/Greeley triangle.

Where were you in New Mexico? I lived in northern NM a few times - "up on the hill". I still miss it sometimes...

Welcome! As others have stated, it's an obsession and cash sinkhole...but the smiles are forever.
