Yep. I'm going to redo a couple things (steering wheel and gauges), but overall I am very pleased. I've put about 700 miles on it, and it runs/drives beautifully.

Excellent idea. If - and it's a big if - I was to change a thing on this work of art it would be to put an original MPH speedo and early wheel. Nothing like wrenchin on that big ole skinny wheel.

Excellent.... very well done.....

Excellent work, hope mine will be 1/2 as nice as yours. Do your have a build thread? would like to see how it started. Best skip

Hey TNX Mike
Went to Reno yesterday Barrett paint supply they have most of the old codes and can mix it up in the good stuff. They mixed up a 1951 Porsche ivory for my friend, the year helps to isolate it for finding the code. What your guess on the T-16

Old thread, but figured I'd update it now that it has been 8ish years since getting truck back from Proffitt. This might get a bit picture heavy, so dial up users beware.

When I first brought home back in '02?

Didn't do much besides getting it running and daily drove it for years before blowing it up trying to keep up with Houston traffic flying at 75mph on the factory F. Dropped it in '08 with Proffitt.

Kept it like that for a few years, then picked up another 40 to beat on, so swapped parts from the 45 onto the 40 in an effort to bring the 45 back to stock-ish... bumper, gauge cluster, and acorns were first to get done.

Could only find KM/H cluster, so I swapped parts from the 40 factory gauge set...

Still need to change steering wheel.

Decided I wanted something other than pizza cutters, so gave some 17x8.5" Fifteen52 wheels a try. They seem to be made for the old Toyota hubcaps...

So now I'm running 35x12.5 tires, but havent drilled the hubcap clips in yet, so temporarily running sans acorns again, but the 35s work perfectly with no rubbing...

And just some random pics from over the years. It definitely is still being used as a Cruiser, and not a garage queen.

Used it as a rescue vehicle to save stranded pets during the last major hurricane to hit us...

Guess that's all the updates for now. Hopefully the next 20 years are as fun as the last.

did you ever finish mounting caps to those wheels?

No. I blame @wngrog... he talked me into picking up a FJ55, so I got distracted with that. One day I'll get back to that change over, but probably won't be until later this spring.
