Anyone running the Turbomac HD 17x8.5 5x150 wheels? Curious if they will fit on the LX470 and clear the front hubs.

They look great and currently are on sale, though they are out of stock.

It would be great to have another 17" wheel option.

I got a set of 4 for $708 w/ free shipping. Too good to pass up. Now to choose tires....Always ran KO's on my 1st gen Tacoma but curious to try something else.

Direct from them? You might have gotten the last set it looks like!

Not that it matters for trucks this heavy, but bear in mind that fifteen52 wheels are usually cast, not forged, which means they aren't as strong as some of the other wheels out there.

Good advice on wheels in general. I'm not aware of any OEM cast wheels. There may be some, but everything I'm familiar with is forged. Forged aftermarket stuff is PRICEY and generally considered very "high end". We're talking $2-4k per set of 4. You normally have to purchase forged aftermarket wheels through a boutique shop or online outlet as all the normal wheel and tire chains carry cast only.

If all you're after is durability, it takes a lot of $$ to beat out OEM stuff.

Yeah got them direct on their website. I'm not looking for crazy burly rims, just something that fits nice and looks good. I dont wheel too hard, save that for the Tacoma.

Finally got them installed yesterday. Unfortunately I got sick as hell today and can't go play around in the snow with them.

Do you rub when the suspension is compressed? I’d love to pick up a set but their offset is not 100-series friendly at all.

I didn't have any issues other than the pinch welds. I haven't had alot of time driving around with them but some of the streets around town are steep and require some articulation and I didnt notice any rubbing.

Well just a little update, after driving more on these wheels, they do not fit. Too much rubbing even with the pinch weld mod and they do hit the fenders under full compression. They do actually tuck up under the fenders on the rear. I guess I didn't do enough research or misread the spec on these wheels. Kinda a bummer cuz I really liked the wheels but hopefully this post helps someone who might be thinking of these wheels. Unrelated side note, I have a set of Fifteen52 Turbomac HD wheels for sale that fit 5 lug Tundras if anyone is interested....:bang:
