I have a '76 FJ40 thats red. I am going to spray the outside the original red color. Under the front fenders and wheel wells, I was thinking of using Durabak or Hercules roll on liner. I know Durabak has a smooth liner. Should I coat it in smooth or rough? How will a roll-on liner look compared to my nice sprayed paint job? Also should I use their standard red and hope it doesn't look to mismatched or just go with black. I am going to POR-15 the frame in black.

durabak

I think black might be the way to go the red might not match up well
black will look okay with the red though

If you roll it, I would go with the Durabak roll on smooth in black. There are also threads on mud that talk about a kit from UPOL named "Raptor". That is supposed to be cheap and easy to use also tintable so you can color match! Might be the way to go. Good luck and post pics!! Mark:beer:
