What could possibly be wrong ? I’ve noticed a drag in the drivetrain when wheels are turned hard in either direction and pulling forward are backing up , it’s almost like the brake is applied a little and as far as I can tell it’s the front end . Running straight everything seem fine , it’s a 2000 model
Thanks in advance
James

Is your center diff lock engaged? That will do it.

Same thing happened on my 05, my light started working again after I repeatedly pushed the button for about 90 seconds.

The previous owner of mine never did either, the long period of disuse is what caused the switch for the light to not operate as designed. “Exercising” the switch got mine functioning properly again, this was handy because my wife drives the vehicle and was constantly hitting the button by accident and unknowingly driving with the CDL engaged. Every time I would drive her 100, I could tell it was engaged right off and would push the button to unlock it. It’s nice to have the light working now, if she hits the button accidentally, she knows and pushes it again to disengage the CDL.

Honestly I’ve never used it

It's not meant for pavement or regular driving. Use for off-road, snow, mud, etc where there can be slip by the tires.

I’ll have to try exercising the switch as well , it’s the wife’s vehicle , she actually pointed out that something didn’t seem right with HER truck
