Hey there,

I recently bought a '77 FJ40 for my first car and daily driver from a guy about 20 minutes past DC. It doesn't run or drive as of now. The guy we bought her from was going to bring it down for us but every time he was going to come, the weather (snow) was really bad or he had something come up with his family. He was supposed to come down with it today but it fell through and we've just decided to see if we can find another way to get it down here to Charlotte, NC where we live. I looked and searched for over a year, and now that I've finally got one we haven't been able to get it down here over the past month and a half since we got it. So here's why I'm here: is there anyone that would have the time, a trailer, or that would be willing to haul it down here? We'll pay of course. It's at the guys house (he lives on fort George Meade military base). I just don't know what to do cause we need to get it here but we don't have a way to. Any help, ideas, interest, etc would be greatly appreciated. If anyone can help me out post up here or pm me (whichever y'all prefer). Thanks so much.

I had a Camry shipped to VA from Kansas and it wasn't bad. I think it was around 600.00. I'd imagine DC to NC would be cheaper. I used a website that gathered quotes from a bunch of shippers to find someone. I can't remember what the website was though. I think it was around 450.00 when I shipped an FJ60 from here to Boston.

$450.00 would be a good price. That's what I would charge if I trusted the trucks head gaskets.

Are you thinking of uship? I have used them twice. Once for a tub from Tennessee and once for a cage. Both worked out well.
